CPCS was asked to accommodate particular types of lifting equipment within the category of Slinger/Signaller that carry out pick-and-carry duties, as the slinger/signaller was at risk of being struck, trapped or crushed due to being in close proximity to the moving machine. Industry requested that the skills and knowledge relating to the safety-critical area of pick-and-carry activities be recognised separately on the card.

Following consultation with the construction and lifting sectors, the category has been amended and incorporates five endorsements of:

• Endorsement A: All Types - All Duties
• Endorsement B: All Types - Static Duties
• Endorsement C: Knuckle boom static only
• Endorsement D: Excavator only
• Endorsement E: Lift Truck only
