Plantworx CPCS/JCB Competition Prize Draw Winner

We're pleased to announce that John Bailey was the lucky winner of our Plantworx prize draw.

John won the CPCS A12 180-Excavator training course which was run by Operator Training. As he already had prior experience operating a 180-Excavator, John attended a two-day top-up course at their centre in Staffordshire before taking the theory and practical test on the third day, which he passed first time! John was able to add the category directly to his Blue CPCS Competence Card as he currently holds CPCS A59 Excavator >10t Tracked via his NVQ.

John has been working in the industry for over 20 years, having developed a passion for Plant Machinery at a young age. He grew up on a farm and sat on his first excavator at the age of six, so he's always known that it's a career he wanted to pursue.

He's now looking to set up his own business and passing the test and having a CPCS Competence card will help to demonstrate his skills and knowledge.

Commenting on winning the prize draw and his experience at Operator Training, John said: "I'm so glad I took the time to enter the competition at Plantworx. The atmosphere here has been brilliant. The team have been faultless and from first walking in, they really put me at ease. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to get their CPCS card, I would also like to thank CPCS & JCB for coming up with the competition”.

Operator Training is run by Frank Williamson, a plant operator with over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry. They offer CPCS training for experienced and novice Plant Operators and certify over 1,000 candidates a year.
