If you are contacting us regarding having not received your CPCS or CISRS card, please be assured that NOCN staff, external teams and a new supplier have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to resume card production. Printing resumed on 14th September and we are working through the backlog of cards.

We apologise for any inconvenience. In the meantime, you, your employer or a site manager can visit the NOCN card checker at to validate your card details.


Blue CPCS Competence Cards – More than 10 Categories Card Tap

In cases where individuals hold more than 10 categories, the new card will display nine printed categories on the reverse side, with the 10th row stating: "To See Additional Categories, Tap Card."

Renew your CPCS Tester Card

Learn how to renew your Tester Card

To renew you need to:

  • Hold a CPCS Full Tester Card which is within 12 months of expiry date
  • Hold valid in date First Aid certificate
  • Hold one of the following Health & Safety Qualifications
  • Pass the Supervisors (SUP) or Managers and Professionals (MAP) health, safety, and environment test within the two year valid period when making the application
    • NEBOSH Construction Certificate within 5years
    • NEBOSH Construction Certificate with IOSH Membership (Tech IOSH Level Membership as a minimum) if older than 5years
    • Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
    • Managing and Co-ordinating Plant (MCP) with Refresher were applicable
    • IOSH Managing Safely (within 5years)
    • Level 5 or 6 H&S Qualification accompanied with an in date CSCS card stating the following occupation routes:
    • Construction Health and Safety Manager (with Minimum Tech IOSH Membership)
    • Construction Health and Safety Senior Manager (with Minimum Tech IOSH Membership)
  • Achieve the current CPCS Tester CPD course.  Please note we are currently reviewing the CPCS Tester CPD Course to enable Tester to renew by submitting their own CPD evidence.  To be updated of any changes please register for our newsletter.
  • Demonstrate practical operating ability for the categories held on the CPCS Tester Card. This can be evidenced by either of the following options:
  1. Hold a valid CPCS Competent Operator Card for the categories held on the tester card, or have undertaken an Advanced Technical Test for a category within the last 5 years, or:
  2. Complete and achieved the Advanced On-Site Assessment          (AOSA) for all categories held on the CPCS Tester Card.
