CPCS Red Trained Operator Card Upgrade
What steps you need to take to Upgrade your Red Trained Operator Card
To upgrade:
- Hold a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card for the category which is within 12 months of expiry date if the extension has been applied for or 24 months if the extension has not been applied for
- Pass the relevant Health, Safety and Environment test within the last two years
- Achieve a VQ, with the appropriate units relevant to the category
Once these elements have been achieved, please send via email and you will receive a payment request link where you will make a payment of £28.00, you will be asked to provide proof of the relevant VQ qualification achievement (copies of full qualification and unit credit certificates) by email. Please email cpcs@jobcards.org with proof of the VQ qualification achievement. This is a non-refundable fee for the services of processing the application.
A Blue Competent Operator Card will be issued for five years. Full details on How to Upgrade a Red card are available to view in the Scheme Booklet for Operators.
Please note: Where an existing blue Competent Operator card is already held, the upgraded category(ies) will be added to this card and the original expiry date will be retained. If your blue Competent Operator card is due to expire within 3 months it will need to be renewed to add the new category(ies).
